This overnight camping/road trip will take you to three of Utah’s earthworks: the Tree of Utah, the Sun Tunnels and the Spiral Jetty. We are leaving the Salt Lake area Wednesday afternoon and returning home late Thursday afternoon. Directions and departure details still to come.

Tour Includes

  • The following meals
    • Wednesday night campfire snack
    • Thursday morning Dutch oven breakfast
    • Snack for cars
  • Rest room facility (We will be bringing a portable toilet as there are no facilities at the campsite)
  • Campfire program/lecture from Peter and Esther: What are earthworks? Learn about stars in the summer desert sky. Sing camp songs with Scoutmaster Peter.

What you are responsible for

  • The following meals
    • Wednesday night dinner - at Casino (still to be determined)
    • Thursday Lunch – bring your own or purchase along the way.
    • Personal water for two days
  • Your own transportation/vehicle. We will be traveling about 300 miles on paved and gravel/dirt roads.
  • Camping gear for Wednesday night: tent/camper, sleeping bags, camp chair, etc.
  • Entrance fee at the National Historic Site: $7 per vehicle – up to six people

Payments

Money is due by June 2, 2010. Make checks payable to Shared Canopy, LLC. Mail checks with the registration form to:

Cancellations and Refunds

You may cancel up to seven days before the tour and receive a full refund.

If we need to cancel the tour, we will give you a refund.

Changes

Shared Canopy reserves the right to make itinerary changes and price changes if the need arises (e.g. number of tour participants) or if it will benefit the tour.
